Oh I was rather looking forward to seeing the Jarmusch piece. Just hope he has not joined the ranks of copycats and do-it-again-Sam Directors!
Actually saw No Lovers Left Alive yesterday. It’s pretty special.
I so bet! Tilda always is offering some unique performance and her in a Jarmusch film, that has to sum up to something special, even if Vampires are involved.
I’m sensing a theme among these trailers.
I also just read a book of short stories by Ted Chiang. One, from the early ’90s, called Understand, is exactly the same as those first two previews, to the point where I checked to see if they were based on it (nope). Pretty cool story (nominated for a Hugo and suchlike). You can read it here:
That novelette exposes a highly intriguing premise and a demanding schedule for author and reader. I sense a ride which challenges perception, intellect and emotions. If that is not enough for wanting to tuck in, I don’t know what is.
